This is a landscape painting I did of Hole 12 at Doumont Disc Golf Course, Nanaimo, BC. The original painting is 30″ x 40″ acrylic on canvas. It was created for Eric, course designer and king of the Mt. Doom Ominous Acres, the visionary who 13 years ago saw more than just a piece of wide-open rugged terrain…he saw potential, purpose, a place where community could come together and get better playing the sport we all love to play. Through hard work and relentless passion, that rough patch of rocky ground has been transformed into a championship-level disc golf course that players from near and far now know, love, and curse daily. What once was just an idea, is now a destination where memories are made and the love for our game grows every day, along with our calves. His vision didn’t just shape the landscape, it shaped our disc golf community. This is a nod to big dreams and the work it takes to get there.
